Cpt Capgun to the head.

"Parenting has deteriorated to the point it is unsalvagable"
If my dad heard that he'd probably send you back to where you came from.Dude seriously what are people gonna say about your parenting abillities not to "crash hot" on the computer all day.I'm part of this Gen Y you so readily abuse and critise.Get out in the real world man stop hiding behind a computer and some media maniputaled facts.Ive worked hard and my parents have never enforced that. In todays society we are much better of financially then your beloved baby boomers so we can actually have the time to follow our dreams and we have parents who support us!You cant box in and sterotype a whole generation based on your facts im sure you bludged, loathed around at some stage to,stop sounding like MR.HERO and become more laid back like GEN Y is today.

the future of mainstream media!

how is the future of mainstream media being affected?
the likes of citizen journalism are not only putting the the already declining profession into more havic but the changing technologys used by every day people are affecting the way we recieve our news and events.
mobile phones-->
the changing technology asociated with phones is rapidly changing the way we live. bluetooth capabilities are allowing us quick recording uploads to computers which is instantyl processed to the internet world wide.
blogs-->
blogs like this one voice opinions and discuss topics that appeal to people. it is determining the way peoples trends and information is being recieved!
in away it is bad as it is mostly unreliable and belittling.
webcasts-->
they are easy means of videoing things and uploading like on a phone, youtube probably the biggest webcast site is know becoming a mainstream outlet for politicans to put campains and other messages on as it atracts a wider viewing audience.

applying emerging technology to communicate with others

1--what is a blog?
a blog is a regulary updated online diary or web page. it voices personal opinions and thoughts and experiences for people to view and comment.
2--what is web 2.0?
web 2.0 means evolution and describes the way in which the internet is growing e.g myspace and facebook.
3--what is social networking?
social networking is basically the new generation of computer websites that allow users to share information, create and connect to other friends profiles and interact with each other.
4--how do photo sharing websites work?
they are more based upon user-submitted content but still allow a profile and sharing to happen which is the main purpose of a blog.
5--what are some useful strategies for preserving privacy when using the internet?
using the internet has many problems so programs such as antiviruses and firewalls etc will help reduce the chances of harmful things and hackers getting in and destroying your memory.
However different things apply for your online safety when on sites such as myspace.
we use passwords and user names to get into accounts so only you can access it, we are able to define who can access and view our sites limiting that privelage to only friends and people we know.
